Jammu 09 :- Continuing its actions against drug peddlers under Ops SANJEEVANI, on 08-08-24, a police party of Police Station, Bishnah, Jammu while on routine patrolling/frisking of vehicles, during checking at Mehmoodpur Naka noticed that one person coming from Jammu side, on vehicle bearing registration number JK02 BF 0940, on seeing police party he tried to jump the naka in suspicious manner but police party stopped him with high efforts.
On this police party successfully overpowered the above said person and detained him. On inquiry he disclosed his name as Rasbinder Singh S/o Harbans Singh, R/o sector d House number 21 Sainik colony Jammu.During search contraband weighing 210 grams was recovered.
In this regard a case FIR No. 112/2024 U/S 8/18/25 NDPS Act was registered with police station Bishnah Jammu and investigation of the case set in motion . The whole proceedings have been done under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, assisted by SHO PS Bishnah under overall supervision of SP Hqrs and SSP Jammu.
Further, Police is investigating into the backward and forward linkages in narco smuggling and peddling angle.
People of the area have hailed the timely recovery of narcotics by Police before it could be further distributed among the youth of Jammu city.
Jammu police is committed to uproot the menace of drug peddling and drug abuse from Jammu.
