Leh : A delegation from Takmachik village led by Councillor, Lamayuru, Shri Morup Dorjay, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Advisor to the HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS and Commissioner/Secretary to the HLG, Shri L Franklin, IAS, were also in the meeting.
Shri Morup highlighted the issue of shortage of drinking and water for irrigation purposes in the village due to scanty rainfall and snowfall. He requested the HLG’s intervention in sanctioning the water lifting scheme for the village along with the completion of the irrigational canal from Wanla to address the water issues.
The HLG asked Dr Kotwal, IAS, to provide all necessary assistance on priority to address the water issues for the convenience of the people of Ladakh.
