Kargil :-  Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting with Councillor Silmo Constituency and concerned officers to review physical and financial status of ongoing and new projects of Silmo Constituency.

The CEC reviewed various sectors, including the Special Development Package (SDP), State Capex, District Capex, Border Area Development Programme (BADP), and Languishing Projects under the Public Works (R&B) Division, Kargil.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kargil; Councillor Silmo Constituency & Former CEC; Superintending Engineer (SE) R&B; Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kargil; Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Kargil; Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) R&B and Junior Engineer (JE) R&B.

During the meeting, the CEC directed concerned departments for the process of inauguration to the motorable bridge over Indus River at Garkon, and other completed works after 15th August.

The CEC also addressed several issues, including land compensation for link roads and handover of government quarter in Silmo to the Principal of Higher Secondary Silmo and lecturers.

The CEC instructed to outsource the commercial hall cum guest house at Silmo and emphasised the importance of renaming the NTPHC Batalik, ensuring that the decision is made with the consent and confidence of the local community.

Additionally, the CEC urged the relevant departments to expedite the completion of remaining work within the stipulated time frame, given the short working season in the region.

CEC Dr Jaffer instructed for timely and efficient project execution maintaining the quality to enhance the development and infrastructure of Silmo Constituency and all over the district.
