Director FCS&CA chairs review meeting in Kargil, stresses on E-KYC compliance, online ration distribution

Kargil:- Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department, Ladakh, Tahir Hussain today held a review meeting at Conference Hall Baroo, Kargil.

Assistant Director FCS&CA, Khanzada Mohd Usman; Account Officer FCS, Mohd Hussain; Legal Assistant to FCS&CA, Ashiq Hussain; Chief Food Inspector, Annatullah; and all TSOs and Storekeepers from Kargil District attended the meeting was physically while the employees from Zanskar participated virtually.

The Assistant Director welcomed the Director and staff members for their participation in the important meeting.

The director gave an overview of the National Food Security Act focusing on two categories: Priority Households (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY). He reviewed the current status and issues faced by the TSOs from various zones in the district.

He emphasized the significance of E-KYC and urged officers to meet their targets diligently, in line with the compliance reports required by the Supreme Court of India.

The director reviewed E-KYC reports from each zone and stressed all individuals to complete their E-KYC registration. He addressed concerns related to registration issues, with storekeepers reporting problems like connectivity and staff absences.

Tahir Hussain also discussed issues related to online transactions, instructing officers to only provide ration through online methods. Manual or offline ration provision is not permitted only in cases of network issues providing via partially online mode

He reviewed the status of additions and deletions in the district, directing officers to identify and delete economically sound individuals who are registered under PHH or AAY categories. He stressed that at least government employees should not be categorized under Below Poverty Line at any cost.

The director reviewed the status of Aadhaar seeding, construction and renovation of store buildings, employee strength, rationalization of manpower and addressed various issues of employees.
