Baramulla 02 :- Under the aegis of Drugfree Baramulla campaign and continuing its action against drug menace since January 2023, Police have registered 375 cases under NDPS act, arrested 651 drug peddlers which include 122 hard-core drug peddlers who have been booked under PITNDPS.
Police have also seized contraband worth approximately Rs.86.5 Crores.
Police have also attached illegal drug properties of 20 notorious drug peddlers worth 10 crores, comprising of residential houses, shopping complex, vehicles, & land plots.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
