Jammu, July 31: In a significant breakthrough under Operation Sanjeevani, the J&K police in Jammu district have successfully obtained confirmation orders for the attachment of four properties belonging to notorious drug peddlers from the Rajiv Nagar and Ragoora areas. The properties fall under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bahufort and Police Station Bagh e Bahu.

The confirmed attachment orders pertain to properties owned by Pal Singh, son of Roshan Lal, and Seema, also known as Kheeri, wife of Pal Singh; Reena, also known as Roopa, wife of Bobby; and Shakeela, also known as Shakeela Devi, wife of Late Ashok Kumar. All three reside in the Rajiv Nagar area under Police Station Bahufort. Additionally, Fareed Ali, son of Jamat Ali and resident of Lower Ragoora under Police Station Bagh e Bahu, is also among the drug peddlers whose properties have been attached.

These individuals have long been identified as a menace to society in their respective areas, contributing to the local drug problem. The police’s action against them underscores their commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and its associated social evils.

The properties were attached under the NDPS Act and the SAFEMA Act, and the attachment was subsequently sent to the competent authority for confirmation, which has now been successfully obtained. This move marks a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes and secure a safer community for residents.

Further investigations and legal proceedings are expected as the J&K police continue their stringent operations against drug peddlers and traffickers in the region. The police’s proactive measures are part of a broader strategy to disrupt the drug supply chain and hold offenders accountable for their actions.
