New Delhi, July 29: The Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri. Amit Shah was called on by a delegation headed by BJP Ladakh State President, Phunchok Stanzin along with the Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson; Former Member Parliament Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal; BJP District President Zanskar, Stanzin Lakpa; BJP District President Nubra, Stanzin Delik, and BJP District President Kargil, Mohd Ali Chandan.
The delegation raised various demand pertaining to Ladakh which includes Safeguard for Ladakh, addressing employment opportunities through Reservations and Early notifications of vacancies for Gazetted posts of Ladakh, strengthening of the LAHDCs, creation of new Districts, inclusion of Bhoti Language in the 8th schedule of Indian Constitution, Creation of new Battalion of Ladakh Scouts, Rationalisation of Wildlife Boundaries of Ladakh, Resolution of inter-state Border issues especially at Sarchu, Shinkunla and Zojila, issues regarding Air Services for civilian passengers in Kargil and Nubra, and various other matters pertaining to the continued development of Ladakh.
The Hon’ble Union Home Minister gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the delegation from Ladakh and emphasised the union government’s commitment to take necessary actions to address the issues pertaining to Ladakh.
