Leh 27 :- The 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas was commemorated with deep patriotism at the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Extension Centre, DIHAR, Leh. The event honored the bravery of the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War, reflecting the nation’s gratitude and respect. The celebration in Leh was a poignant tribute to the Indian Armed Forces and their sacrifices for national sovereignty.
The Executive Councillor for Minorities,LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi, honored the Silver Jubilee celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he paid tributes to the valor and sacrifices of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War.Further,he expressed profound respect for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s defense, asserting, “Their sacrifices will forever be etched in our memory and held in high esteem.” He also recognized and celebrated the Veer Naris, war heroes, and veterans present at the event, highlighting their extraordinary contributions and bravery.
Emphasizing the significance of remembering and learning from historical sacrifices, EC Mehdi remarked, “We must draw inspiration from the courage and valor of our soldiers to strive for a stronger, more united India.”
The event was organized by the Tourism Department, Ladakh in collaboration with the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh, and the Ex-servicemen League.
