JAMMU: Strongly rejecting the allegations of denial of access to official portal for migration of students and delay in the approval of management committee, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has asserted all necessary facilities and access have been duly provided to all the schools which are already affiliated with it.

Chairman JKBOSE, Prof (Dr) Parikshat Singh Manhas also said that the necessary affiliation orders would be issued soon in favour of the schools, which have been recommended by the Affiliation Committee in the meeting held on July 1, 2024.

Further allaying the apprehensions, he said that such institutions would be provided sufficient time to apply for the Board related services as per norms and will be given fresh fee payment timeline starting with normal prescribed fee.

The Board issued a statement after J&K Private Schools Association alleged harassment by the JKBOSE officials by not providing access to the schools to upload migration/ eligibility certificate, delay in the approval of management committee etc, even as they said that JKBOSE was reluctant to grant affiliation to these schools on the basis of their recognition.

In a statement issued here, the Board rejected all such claims made by certain members of the Association.

“The claims made by the Private Schools Association were factually incorrect. The J&K Board of School Education would like to inform all the stakeholders that all the necessary Board facilities have already been released in favour of the academic institutions which are currently affiliated with the J&K Board of School Education,” it said.

The Board further said that it would facilitate the institutions across Jammu and Kashmir which have been recommended by the Affiliation Committee in the meeting held on 01.07.2024 and in whose favour the affiliation orders would be issued shortly, by releasing all the necessary facilities.

Putting to rest the speculations, the Board said that these institutions would be provided sufficient time to apply for Board related services as per the norms and will be given a fresh fee payment timeline starting with normal prescribed fee.

“The decision underscores the Board’s commitment to support the affiliated educational institutions and ensure that all such institutions have timely access to essential services without any difficulty. This initiative of the Board aims to promote an equitable educational environment,” said the statement.

Regarding the delay in the approval of the management committee of the schools, officials informed that the same was due to the change of governing rules which mandate the verification of antecedent of the committee members by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

“The verification process by the CID is taking place in due course of time and for those panels for which the verification is completed, the approval is being given,” they added.
