New Delhi, July 19 :- In a grand inauguration ceremony today, Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the ‘Lok Samvardhan Parv’, an event aimed at showcasing the achievements and programs of the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The event highlighted the significant strides made in empowering minority communities across the nation.

During the ceremony, Minister Rijiju unveiled a credit plan totaling over Rs 1,000 crore from the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC), benefiting more than 2.5 lakh beneficiaries in the upcoming fiscal year 2024-25.

A notable feature of the event was the release of a comprehensive coffee table book detailing the various schemes and accomplishments of the ministry, underscoring its commitment to inclusive development.

In a series of collaborative efforts, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between NMDFC and leading financial institutions, including Indian Bank, Union Bank of India, and Punjab Gramin Bank, to facilitate the seamless implementation of key initiatives.

The ‘Lok Samvardhan Parv’ also included a vibrant poster exhibition showcasing the diverse range of schemes and programs aimed at uplifting minority communities. The event featured success stories and unique schemes implemented by state channelizing partners of NMDFC, further emphasizing the ministry’s impactful initiatives.

In addition to governmental collaborations, the event saw participation from esteemed knowledge partners such as the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and National Institute of Design (NID), highlighting the artisanal talents supported through various ministry schemes.

Cultural festivities added to the celebratory atmosphere, with performances ranging from traditional dances like Manipuri, Bhangra, and folk dances of Kerala, to the unique Singhi Chamm (Lion Dance) and Siddhi Goma. These cultural showcases underscored the rich diversity and heritage of India’s minority communities.

The ministry’s commitment to holistic development was evident throughout the event, with workshops on export marketing, collaborations with UNICEF YuWaah, and initiatives to connect artisans with national and digital marketplaces like Government E Marketplace (GeM) and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

The ‘Lok Samvardhan Parv’ stands as a testament to the inclusive growth agenda championed by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, embodying the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas’. The event not only celebrated achievements but also paved the way for continued empowerment and integration of minority communities across the country.
