Leh 15 :- In Ladakh, In a moving tribute to its veterans and the families of fallen soldiers, the Indian Army’s Forever in Operations Division organized a Vetran rally at the Kargil War Memorial, Kargil Helipad, to mark the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event saw the participation of over 240 ex-servicemen and Veer Naries from Dras, Kaltsi, Biamah, Padum, and Kargil.

The rally aimed to honor the valiant soldiers of the Kargil War and address various issues faced by veterans and their families, including pension anomalies, documentation, and information on banking and government welfare schemes. Multiple stalls were set up by representatives from Resettlement Opportunities, DPDO, Sainik Welfare Boards, JAK LI & LSRC Records Offices, State Bank of India, and the civil administration, including an AADHAR cell.

This collaborative effort provided a unique platform for veterans and Veer Naries to interact with military and civil agencies, resolving long-standing issues.

The event, a prelude to the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, underscored the Indian Army’s deep gratitude towards its veterans and the families of fallen heroes. Veterans paid homage at the Kargil War Memorial, reinforcing their bond with the Army while being felicitated by the Forever in Operations Division. This initiative fostered a sense of solidarity and enduring support.

Honorary Naib Subedar (Retd) Mohd Shafi from Ladakh Scouts in Drass, Kargil, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Indian Army for remembering them during this auspicious celebration of the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
