Leh 11: As per the direction of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, all faculty members from various science Departments of the Leh campus attended an interactive meeting with Professor Trevor D. Price from the University of Chicago’s Department of Ecology and Evolution. Professor Price is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Ladakh. The meeting took place in the HVC’s office on campus and was coordinated by Dr. Mohd Hussain, Dean Science, University of Ladakh.
The meeting began with a formal introduction of Professor Price and the attending faculty members, by Dr. Mohd Hussain. During the meeting, faculty members shared their research work and domains with Professor Price, leading to an engaging and productive dialogue. The discussions covered a wide range of scientific fields, including Zoology, Geology, Forensic Science, and Mathematics, focusing on how researchers from these diverse fields can collaborate on a scientific platform to enhance collaborative research. Professor Trevor D. Price shared his extensive research experience with the faculty members and expressed his
admiration for the enthusiasm and dedication of the University of Ladakh’s faculty members towards advancing research.
The meeting concluded with Dr. Mohd Hussain expressing gratitude to Professor Trevor D. Price and the Honorable Vice Chancellor for facilitating such valuable opportunities to the faculty members.
