Jammu, July 10: Two minor brothers drowned while they were bathing in a stream in the Bonjwah area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.
Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Scroll identified the boys as Nasir Hussain (16) and Yasir Hussain (13) of Gundoo Tehsil Chilli Pingil Disat Doda.
He said that soon after the incident a police party rushed to the spot and with the help of local people launched a search operation to rescue the boys.
The official said the bodies of the siblings were fished out from the stream after around four hours of searches.
After completing the legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to their legal heirs.
