Leh, July 10: A delegation led by Panamik Councillor Tsering Sangdup and Councillor Tegar Rigzin Lundup, along with Nambardar Chamshen/Charasa Stanzin Thurdus and other members, met with the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, to discuss crucial infrastructure and administrative concerns.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the recent approval of a significant funding of 65 crore rupees dedicated to the Sumoor to Burma bridge project. This substantial investment is expected to significantly improve connectivity and boost development in the region.
The councillors and Nambardar Chamshen/Charasa also pressed for the early commencement of work on two critical infrastructure projects: the Sumoor to Burma bridge and the Shatse Takna bridge. They highlighted the importance of these bridges in enhancing local transportation and fostering economic growth in the area.
In addition to infrastructure concerns, the delegation brought up the topic of administrative restructuring. They discussed the delimitation of the Chamshen-Charasa region to form a separate Halqas Panchayat, emphasizing the need for better administrative efficiency and local governance.
Hon’ble Chairman Adv. Tashi Gyalson attentively listened to the grievances and requests presented by the delegation. He acknowledged the importance of the issues raised and assured the delegation that he would address these matters at the earliest possible opportunity. His commitment to resolving these concerns reflects the LAHDC Leh’s dedication to the development and well-being of the region’s communities.
