Leh, July 08: The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, in collaboration with the All Ladakh Gompa Association and supported by the Ladakh Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages, is set to host the inaugural Ladakh Sangha Council. This landmark event slated to be held on July 12 marks the first of its kind in Ladakh, dedicated to honoring the monastic community’s pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the region’s cultural heritage.

Scheduled at a significant juncture, the Ladakh Sangha Council aims to highlight the profound impact of monastic institutions on Ladakh’s spiritual and cultural landscapes. Leaders from various monasteries across Ladakh will convene to celebrate their shared legacy and discuss strategies for further preserving and promoting the region’s unique traditions.

The event is expected to feature scholarly discussions on Ladakh’s historical and religious narratives. It aims to foster greater understanding and appreciation of the monastic community’s efforts in fostering peace, spirituality, and sustainable development.
