Kargil, July 05: Er. Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor for Tourism, RDD/PR, Cooperative, FCS&CA, and ZDA of LAHDC Kargil, chaired a crucial meeting with Manzoor Hussain, Executive Engineer PMGSY, and other Junior Engineers (JEs) from the concerned department. The meeting focused on assessing the progress of various projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the Zanskar Sib Division.
During the session, the Executive Engineer PMGSY provided a comprehensive update on the status of ongoing projects under PMGSY Phase-3 (2022-23), detailing both the physical implementation and financial allocations. Er. Punchok Tashi emphasized the importance of timely project completion and instructed the officials to expedite any necessary Right of Way (ROW) land compensation settlements.
Highlighting the urgency of the matter, EC Tashi directed the Executive Engineer and JEs to conduct frequent site visits to ensure early completion of the projects before the end of the season. Furthermore, he mandated their participation in an official tour to Zanskar to personally inspect the sites associated with PMGSY Phase-3 in the upcoming days.
In response, the Executive Engineer and JEs assured full cooperation and support to expedite the projects, committing to providing all necessary resources and assistance. The meeting concluded with Executive Councilor Punchok Tashi expressing his appreciation to all attendees for their participation and commitment to the development goals of the region.
