Udhampur, July 04: Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai held a crucial meeting today with key officers and field functionaries of the Revenue Department to discuss the construction of new Revenue buildings across various sub-divisions in Udhampur district. The meeting, which took place at the DC office, was attended by ACR Dr. Umesh Shan, ACD Dr. Ranjit Singh Kotwal, CPO Mohammad Iqbal, along with SDMs, Tehsildars, and XEN PWD from Chenani, Ramnagar, and Udhampur.
DC Rai emphasized the need for effective resource management and meticulous planning to ensure the success of these infrastructure projects. “Effective resource management and meticulous planning are critical for the success of these projects,” DC Rai stated. She urged all XENs to work in close coordination with the SDMs to thoroughly understand the specific requirements for the construction of these new buildings.
A key directive from the Deputy Commissioner was for the XENs to prepare and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and estimates for the proposed buildings as quickly as possible. “I urge all XENs to prepare and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and estimates for the proposed buildings at the earliest possible time to avoid any delays,” DC Rai emphasized.
The session began with ACR Udhampur providing a comprehensive overview of the proposed plans for the new Revenue buildings, which aim to enhance revenue collection and administrative processes within the district. The blueprint for these projects includes the establishment of well-equipped and functional buildings to streamline operations across different sub-divisions.
In addition to discussing resource management, DC Rai highlighted the importance of having the necessary land parcels ready for construction. She instructed the SDMs to ensure that the land required for the proposed buildings is secured and prepared for the commencement of construction work.
The meeting also covered various technical and logistical aspects of the projects, focusing on ensuring that the Revenue Department’s infrastructure needs are met efficiently. By addressing these critical issues, the Deputy Commissioner and her team are setting the stage for improved administrative facilities in Udhampur district, which will support more effective revenue management and public service delivery.
