Jammu 04 July :- Although, no major rainfall is expected today, there is a possibility of a thundershower (of any intensity) developing towards late afternoon/night along both routes to the Amarnath Holy Cave.
The activities of rain showers will increase in Jammu areas.
Low Risk of shooting stones/landslides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway till tonight.
Temperatures at the Amarnath Holy Cave & Sheshnag can peak around 22 – 24°C, while at night, these temperatures can come down to 11°C.
Chandanwari & Baltal, temperatures can peak around 28 – 29°C, while night temperatures may stay around 15°C.
The activities of rain are expected to pick up from tonight/ tomorrow morning onwards, with main activity expected on 05 & 06 July.
Expect a considerable drop in temperatures during this period (light snowfall chances near Amarnath Holy Cave 15 – 20%).
Intense showers, along with gusty winds, during the next 60 hrs can’t be ruled out as mountains remain most vulnerable to it.
