Kargil, July 01: The ICDS Project Shargole organized a significant meeting cum awareness camp at the CDPO Office in Shargole, focusing on the importance of hygiene and sanitation. The event was led by CDPO Shargole Madam Farida and aimed at educating Anganwadi helpers on maintaining high standards of hygiene in both their professional and personal lives.

In her address, Madam Farida emphasized the crucial roles and responsibilities of Anganwadi helpers, particularly their coordination with Anganwadi workers. She stressed the importance of maintaining proper uniforms as a part of professional hygiene and discipline.

The session included a detailed presentation by Senior Community Health Officer (CHO) Stanzin Dolma, who covered essential topics such as personal hygiene practices, cleanliness and maintenance of Anganwadi centers, proper handwashing techniques, safe drinking water practices, and awareness about diarrhea and its preventive measures.

Participants, including helpers, workers, and other officials, actively engaged in discussions and activities, reinforcing the importance of the topics covered. The workshop provided a platform for practical learning and exchange of ideas, contributing to the overall goal of improving health and sanitation standards in the community.

Madam Farida’s engagement with the participants and the insightful presentation by Sr. CHO Stanzin Dolma underscored the project’s commitment to enhancing the well-being of children and families through better hygiene practices.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of responsibility among the participants, who left with a deeper understanding of their critical roles in promoting health and sanitation within their communities.
