Raj Niwas bids farewell to outgoing GOC 14 Corps Lt General Rashim Bali

Leh, June 30: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) hosted a farewell party to bid adieu to the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC), 14 Corps, Lieutenant General Rashim Bali, UYSM, AVSM, VSM and SM, at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Principal Secretary,  Sanjiv Khirwar, IAS; ADGP Ladakh, Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IPS; Commissioner Secretary to the LG, L Franklin, IAS and Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports,  Moses Kunzang, JKAS, were present in the farewell party.

Calling Lt Gen Rashim Bali a dear friend and colleague, the LG stated that bidding farewell to outgoing Lt Gen Bali is nostalgic but the latter will now hold a more responsible position from which he can work for the betterment of the country.

The LG praised Lt Gen Bali for being a dedicated and straightforward person who has left a lasting impression during his tenure as the GOC of 14 Corps. Wishing Lt Gen Bali the best for his next assignment, the LG hoped that Lt Gen Bali would continue to work for the betterment of the Indian Army and country with compassion.

Lt Gen Rashim Bali thanked the UT Administration and all the officials, particularly the LG, along with the citizens of Ladakh for providing all possible assistance during his tenure in Leh. He stated that he made concerted efforts to contribute to the national security. He also highlighted the contributions of the Ladakh Police and Paramilitary Forces during his tenure as the GOC of 14 Corps.

Principal Secretary,  Sanjiv Khirwar called Lt Gen Bali a thorough professional who led the Indian Army well in eastern Ladakh. He wished Lt Gen the best for his next assignment.

ADGP Ladakh, Dr SD Singh Jamwal called Lt Gen Bali a highly dedicated and decorated Army official who held several key positions over the years. He stated that Lt Gen Bali had left a lasting impression on Ladakh with his professionalism and acumen.

Staff of LG Secretariat and other officials were also present in the farewell party.
