Leh, June 30: Tashi Gyalson, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, along with Councillor Tundup Norboo, conducted a site visit to the under-construction cricket ground in Saboo today. The visit underscored the ongoing efforts and dedication towards the promotion of sports and the development of state-of-the-art facilities for athletes and sports enthusiasts in the region.

The inspection began with a comprehensive tour of the construction site, where Gyalson and Norboo reviewed the progress of the ongoing work. The visit provided an opportunity for the officials to interact with the construction team, assess the quality of the work, and ensure that the project adheres to the set timelines and standards.

During the visit, Chairman Gyalson expressed his enthusiasm about the cricket ground’s potential to become a premier sports venue in Ladakh. “This cricket ground is a significant project for us, aimed at not only nurturing local talent but also providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills. Our vision is to create top-notch sports facilities that inspire and support the growth of various sports disciplines in the region,” Gyalson stated.

Councillor Tundup Norboo also highlighted the importance of such projects in fostering community engagement and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the youth. “Sports play a crucial role in the development of our youth, and this cricket ground will serve as a key venue for sports events and training programs. We are committed to completing this project on schedule and to the highest standards,” Norboo said.
