Kargil, June 28: A delegation of outsourced employees, including Junior Engineers (JEs), pharmacists, nurses, drivers, and sweepers, met with Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, at the Council Secretariat today. The employees urged the CEC to consider extending their contracts, highlighting the importance of their continued employment.
The Junior Engineers underscored the necessity of extending their contracts until the next financial year to maintain project stability and ensure seamless service delivery. Other members of the delegation echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the critical role they play in the functioning of various sectors within the region.
In response, Dr. Akhoon reassured the employees that their concerns would be taken seriously. He promised to explore possible solutions and committed to writing to higher authorities to advocate for the extension of their contracts.
The employees expressed gratitude for the CEC’s understanding and support, hoping for a positive outcome that would allow them to continue contributing to the development and well-being of Kargil.
