Bandipora, June 27: The National Biodiversity Chairman of India R.H Khawaja on Thursday in Bandipora said that the authorities in Kashmir valley need to fix the capacity of tourists visiting Gurez valley for preserving its nature and biodiversity.
While addressing the Biodiversity management committee of Kashmir division he emphasized the need of preserving our natural environment in Kashmir valley for conserving biodiversity.
He was accompanied by co-chairman National biodiversity, Deputy commissioner Bandipora and other officials of forest and other departments.
The programme was attended by hundreds of BMC workers, officials and forest and other departments. He also pays tribute to the forest personals who sacrficed their lives during 1990’s in Kashmir valley.
He further listened to several grievances of the BMC committee and assured them early readressel and every possible help from the government.
