Leh, June 26: A number of delegations called on the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Tashi Gyalson, over the last 24 hours and briefed him of their issues and concerens.
A delegation of Skindying village headed by Councillor Khaltse, Lobzang Sherap and representative from the village called on Gyalson to discuss various issues and also sought assistance form the Hill Council Leh.
Further the delegation from Nurla village comprising of Nambardar, members and their representative met with Gyalson to extend their gratitude for the noble support extended till date and further discuss various other issues concerning their village.
The CEC took note of the issues and grievances raised by the delegations and further assured his assistance from the Hill Council Leh in resolving them.
Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgail Yakzee were also present during the meetings.
Gyalson also received a courtesy call from the National Cyclist Leakzes Angmo.
Cyclist Lekzes Angmo expressed her utmost gratitude to Gyalson for their unwavering support extended till date and further requested for additional financial support.
The CEC felicitated and lauded Leakzes determination and hard work in the field of cycling and hoped to see her in more such achievements in the future. Gyalson further wished best in her future endeavors.
Nasreen Maryam, President, Anjuman-e-Imamia’s Leh Women Wing also met Gyalson and presented him ‘Donkir’, Ladakh’s pure whole wheat cookie.
This initiative by self-help group (SHG) members aims to promote community health and sustainability. The cookies are crafted with locally sourced whole wheat, emphasizing nutritious and wholesome ingredients.
Donkir is now formally launched and accessible in the market, offering consumers a wholesome and locally produced option.
CEC Tashi Gyalson appreciated their initiative and extended congratulations to the team.
