Kargil, June 26: Executive Councilor, School Education Department, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain today convened a meeting in his office chamber to discuss educational issues of Silmoo Constituency.
The meeting was attended by former CEC (Councilor Silmo Constituency), Chief Education Officer, Kargil, Zonal Education Officer, besides Principal Govt. Higher Secondary Silmoo, Headmaster Govt. HS Garkone, Chulichan and Lalung of Simoo Constituency.
The meeting discussed the various aspects to enhance the quality of education in Silmoo constituency. The meeting also discussed the urgent need of adjustment of subject specific teachers in various schools where the need is at crisis level.
The meeting also took note of number of teachers engaged at various schools according to the student teacher ratio. EC Education directed the CEO Kargil to speed up the procedure of advertised notice advertised recently for the engagement of contractual teachers & Class IV in the SAMAGRA upgraded Schools.
During the meeting, the EC Zakir Hussain directed the CEO Kargil to immediately adjust the required teacher at HS Chulichan and the ZEO Kargil may adjust the Master at MS Darchicks as decided in the meeting at the earliest.
Various other decisions were taken with regard to the detachment and attachment of teachers in schools in Silmoo constituency according to the need.
The meeting also discussed the immediate need of miscellaneous requirements of repair and renovation works at various schools especially renovation of Kitchen Shed at HS Lalung.
However the EC intimated that installation of electric poles for HS Garkone will be discussed with the Executive Engineer, PDD and will be resolved accordingly.
