LAHDC Leh signs MoU with Ladakh Recycling Solutions on waste management

Leh: A historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between LAHDC Leh and Ladakh Recycling Solutions (LRS), Leh to collaborate on the management of waste materials in Leh.

The MoU was signed by DC/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhdeve on behalf of LAHDC Leh and CEO/Founder of Ladakh Recycling Solutions, Stanzin Jigmet in the august presence of the Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson. Co-Founder LRS, Tsering Kunchok was also present during the occasion.

H’CEC commended the young entrepreneurs from Leh Ladakh for their efforts in ensuring the management of waste materials within Ladakh. He added that LAHDC Leh has always been at the forefront of finding solutions to the major issues of waste management in the district. He emphasised the roles of Project Tsangda of Rural Development Department and Municipal Committee, Leh in ensuring collection and segregation of domestic wastes generated from the local households.

H’CEC reiterated the commitment of the Hill Council, Leh in supporting and encouraging local youths, especially young entrepreneurs through such initiatives and hoped that they would progress well and contribute to a cleaner and greener Ladakh.

CEO/Founder of Ladakh Recycling Solutions, Stanzin Jigmet expressed his heartfelt gratitude to CEC Tashi Gyalson for the support provided by the Hill Council, Leh. He further assured that the company would ensure its active participation in the management of waste, especially focusing on the Recycling of waste materials. He also extended his gratitude to the District Administration, Leh led by DC Santosh Sukhdeve for the overall guidance and necessary support provided in this regard.
