LEH: Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission (LRLM) organised training to the potential Lakhpati Didi in two different blocks of Leh district on February 15. More than 30 Self Help Group (SHG) members participated in the training.
The trainer was a community resource person on the Lakhpati didi initiative that happened earlier in the district.
The clutters coordinators and LRLM staff put their efforts in making the event successful although there will be continuous training for the 3000 Lakhpati identified Didis in other blocks.
The main objective of this initiative is to provide SHG members with more livelihood opportunities by earning 10000 per month making them Lakhpati Didi. More than 30 Self Help Group (SHG) members participated in the training.
In district Kargil of UT on Feb 16, a similar training-cum-capacity building programme to LRLM SHG Didi’s was organized at Gongma Minjee Panchayat Kargil block under Lakpati Didi Initiative. The training program was attended by 32 potential Didis.
In a bid to uplift rural livelihoods and foster economic empowerment, the Lakhpati Didi Initiative, under the aegis of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), has taken strides in Ladakh.
Under the Lakhpati Didi Initiative, potential SHG Didis in the Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission are undergoing specialized training sessions conducted by seasoned experts. These sessions are meticulously crafted to equip them with essential skills, knowledge and resources to enhance their entrepreneurial ventures and income-generating activities.
