Kargil: LAHDC, Kargil on Thursday organized an impressive function to bid an affectionate farewell to the outgoing Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kargil, Anayat Ali Chowdhury at TFC Bemathang.
Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Executive Councilor, Tourism, Kacho Mohd Feroz, Executive Councillor, Education, Zakir Hussain, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohiudin Wani, Brigade 121 Infantry Brigade, Chief Engineer Project Vijayak Brigadier Vinay Bahl, Councilors of LAHDC, District Officers, representatives of religious and social organizations, besides other concerned officers were present during the event.
During the event, the CEC hailed the contribution of SSP Kargil in strengthening and maintaining law and order in the district besides carrying out various capacity-building programs with the general public.
CEC Dr Jaffer said that the outgoing SSP has been a man of principles and his interaction with the masses has remained praiseworthy.
The CEC said the purpose of the event is to show the affection that LAHDC and the people of Kargil have with the outgoing SSP and extend him best wishes for his future.
DC Shrikant Suse said the SSP has remained committed to his services and is a thorough gentleman besides his contribution in maintaining law and order in the district has remained commendable, particularly in the recently held LAHDC elections.
SSP Anayat Ali Chowdhury while sharing his experiences said that Kargil has remained a learning opportunity for him to strengthen his administrative skills.
The SSP said he got the opportunity to strengthen the infrastructure of the Police Department at Headquarter level and of all Police Posts in Kargil.
He further shared that serving in the Covid-19 pandemic in collaboration with District Administration Kargil was another learning experience.
The SSP shared that he was overwhelmed to understand the structure and functioning of the LAHDC, Kargil and the role it plays in the welfare of public.
He expressed satisfaction over the fact that how democracy is celebrated in the district, particularly during the time of elections by maximum participation in the election processes.
Later, the dignitaries and the guests felicitated the outgoing SSP with traditional Khataks. The CEC presented a souvenir on behalf of all Executive Councilors and Councillors as a token of love and appreciation.
