Kargil: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today visited Zanskar Sub Division to take part in the four-day Zanskar Winter Sports and Tourism Festival to be held from February 14-17, 2024.
The CEC was accompanied by Executive Councilor, RD&PRD, FC&CA, ZDA and Forest, Er. Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor, Education, Mechanical and Handloom Zakir Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohd Sharif, Chief Medical Officer Dr Liyaqat, Councilor Drass, Abdul Samad and other District Officers.
The visitors were welcomed by the Sub Divisional Officers headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk at village Abran.
En-route to Padum, President Zanskar Buddhist Association, Zanskar Gonpa Association, All Zanskar Lambardar Association, President National Conference Zanskar Block, Karsha Block along with party workers also presented warm reception’s to the visitors.
The CEC also met with public delegations at villages Skyagam and Phey, attentively listening to their demands and assuring them of swift resolution on a top priority basis.
CEC Dr Jaffer also visited CHC Padum and interacted with doctors and paramedical staff. He also inspected various section of the hospital like laboratory, theatre block and mother and child care block.
