Leh: To empower Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) with advanced knowledge and practical skills, a one-day training session on Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMD) devices and demonstrations on the preparation of millet was conducted on February 12. This training was extended to 22 AWWs and 18 AWHs from the Nyoma zone, operating under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) project Nyoma.
The training aimed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding and practical proficiency in utilizing GMD devices effectively for monitoring and promoting child growth and nutrition. Additionally, the session shed light on the significance of incorporating millets into the diet and demonstrated various methods of millet preparation, emphasizing their nutritional value and benefits for maternal and child health.
