CEC Dr Jaffer expresses gratitude to concerned stakeholders on resumption of vehicular movement on Zojila Pass

Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today expressed gratitude to all the concerned stakeholders for resumption of vehicular movement on Zojila Pass.
The CEC expressed his gratitude to the Union Territory Administration, ADGP Ladakh Police, concerned Officers of Project Vijayak and Beacon besides District Administration including Deputy Commissioner Kargil and SP Kargil for close coordination and execution in the reopening of Zojila Pass and in the smooth movement of vehicular movement.
CEC Dr Jaffer applauded the efforts of workers and operators of BRO working on Zojila Axis despite harsh climatic conditions and paving the way to the reopening of the strategic pass.
Pertinently, 10 vehicles from Kargil-Sonamarg and 27 vehicles from Srinagar-Kargil routes crossed the Zojila axis. Furthermore, 160 passengers crossed the Zojila Axis. Besides that, 10 vehicles were sent by the District Administration Kargil to Srinagar to pick up the passengers including students.
