Leh, Feb 11: Ladakh Tourism was adjudged the winner of the Best Design and Decoration Award (Pavilion) during the 3-day Outbound Travel Mart [OTM], which began at the Jio Convention Center, Bandra Kurla Complex Mumbai.
Ladakh Tourism said in a message, “This incredible achievement celebrates our unwavering dedication to showcasing Ladakh’s unparalleled allure and beauty in the most captivating and exquisite manner possible.”
Ladakh Tourism is thrilled to share that we’ve been honoured with the prestigious Award of Excellence for Best Design And Decoration at the OTM, Jio World Convention Centre, held from 8th to 10th Feb 2024, the message added.
Over 30 travel trade association members, hoteliers, and tourism officials from the twin districts of Leh and Kargil participated in the event to showcasing Ladakh as a different and challenging tourist destination.
Deputy Minister of Marketing, Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy, Indonesia, Ni Made Ayu Marthini and many other dignitaries visited the Ladakh Pavilion.
The Tourism Department, UT of Ladakh has facilitated the participation of co-exhibitors from the UT to showcase Ladakh’s unique position as a different tourist destination, which catches the imagination of varied travellers, explorers, adventure lovers, nature lovers and above all Ladakh’s rich cultural and heritage assets.
The OTM provides a vibrant and global platform to conduct B2B and B2C meetings and to establish business networks with the travel & trade fraternity and visitors from India and abroad.
The Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism Department, UT of Ladakh Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan and Director, Tourism Department, Kunzes Angmo; other members of the official delegation and co-exhibitors interacted with the representative of the tourism boards from different States & UTs, media and leading stakeholders from across the globe.
The Ladakh Pavilion on the first and second day received overwhelming response from the visitors who enquired about different tourism products and showed keen interest to visit Ladakh in the near future.
