Leh, Feb 01: A delegation from the University of Ladakh, led by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. S. K. Mehta, paid a visit to the Sri Sathya Sai Organization in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, on January 25, 2024. Prof Mehta aimed the visit to foster collaboration and explore potential partnerships between the two institutions.
Upon their arrival at Bangalore airport, the delegates were accorded a warm welcome by the officials of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization. The delegation, which included Dr. Subrat Sharma, Dean Research, and Dr. Jigmat Dachen, Dean Students Welfare, participated in the inaugural ceremony of the National Leadership Program for Self-Transformation (SSS NLP for Self-Transformation) on January 26, 2024. A few students from the University of Ladakh are participating in the SSS NLP for Self-Transformation, further deepening the ties between the two institutions. The SSS NLP for Self-Transformation is a comprehensive 26-week web-based program, featuring a 3-day on-campus contact session and concluding with a grand 3-day graduation ceremony at Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. Prof. S. K. Mehta was honored as the Guest of Honor at the inaugural event, marking a significant moment in the collaboration between the University of Ladakh and the Sri Sathya Sai Organization.
During their visit, the delegates engaged in fruitful discussions with the scientists and faculty of the Shri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. Various areas of potential collaboration were identified, including student exchange programs, faculty exchange initiatives, and joint research projects. The delegation also had the opportunity to tour the impressive facilities of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, which included high-end research instruments facility, an international convention center, and state-of-the-art sports facilities.
