Leh, Jan 25: Smt Diskit Spalzes, Incharge Principal, DIET Leh called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Lieutenant Governor Secretariat. Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Ladakh, Shri Sanjeev Khirwar, IAS and Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS were present in the meeting. Smt Spalzes apprised the HLG that her brother is suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder and she is the only sole caretaker for him. She requested the HLG to retain her posting at DIET Leh. The HLG directed Principal Secretary, SED, Ladakh, Shri Sanjeev Kumar to study the matter.
Smt Mehnaz Jabeen, who is selected for the Mars Analog Astronaut Program called on the HLG at LG Secretariat. Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shri Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS were present in the meeting. Smt Jabeen apprised the HLG that she has been selected for the Mars Analog Astronaut Program to be held at The Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS), Utah, USA. She requested the HLG for financial support for the program. The HLG asked DC Leh to look into the matter.
