Leh, Jan 25: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Leh, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India today organized a programme in collaboration with the District Election Office to celebrate 14th National Voters Day.
On the occasion, Chief Electoral Officer Ladakh UT, Yatinder Maralkar was the chief guest whereas Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve was the guest of honor. Several other dignitaries, youth president and NYK volunteers also attended the programme.
National Voters’ Day has been celebrated throughout the country on January 25 every year since 2011 to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India which was established on January 25, 1950.
