Kargil, Jan 20: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today visited a family affected by a fire incident in Khaus village, Taisuru.
The CEC interacted with the family and assessed the damage to the house caused by the fire incident. It was informed that the house has been completely damaged due to the fire.
CEC Dr. Jaffer, on the spot, announced immediate relief of Rs 50,000 to the family, along with free ration for six months. Additionally, he issued directives to ensure the prompt provision of essential commodities. The CEC also directed the Revenue Department to assessment of the damage at the earliest.
CEC Dr. Jaffer stated that the PHE department has been instructed to address the issues concerning drinking water facilities. Additionally, in response to the demand for fire extinguishers at the Block or Sub-Divisional Level, the matter has been brought to the attention of the Honourable Lieutenant Governor Ladakh.
Councilor Parkachik, Syed Ainul Huda, SDM Sankoo, Tehsildar Taisuru, Ex Executive Councilor Syed Abbas Razvi, SHO Panikhar and other concerned officers were present.
