Kargil, Jan 18: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a review meeting to review the physical and financial achievement of RD&PRD.
Executive Councilor, Tourism and KDA, Kacho Mohd Feroz, ACD Kargil, Ghulam Mohd, Executive Engineer REW Shabbir Hussain, BDO’s of different blocks, officers of RD&PRD besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions and deliberations were done on physical, financial and other achievements under various sectors.
ACD Kargil briefed about the status of physical and financial achievement of works under various sectors including, State Sector, SDP, District Capex, MGNREGA, Grant in Aid, PMAYG, NRLM, Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen, CCDA and Untied.
The CEC was informed that under MGNREGA, 99 percent works have been expenditured. The CEC complimented the concerned officers related to segregation sheds under SBM saying it is a novel concept benefiting the public and directed to continue it with dedication.
CEC Dr Jaffer also expressed satisfaction over the progress of NRLM benefiting many SHG’s across the district. He directed the concerned department to recommend Lakh Pati Didi achiever for an award on the Republic Day celebration.
In anticipation of a potential water crisis during the upcoming summers, the CEC instructed the relevant department to put forth an effective water management plan.
The CEC asserted that the works undertaken should reflect on the ground and the concerned officers should ensure regular scrutiny and status of completion of works.
He further directed to complete the billing works within a week and 100 percent expenditure should be achieved before the end of the current financial year.
The CEC emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum of developmental projects without compromising quality. Additionally, he directed a focus on prioritizing livelihood and employment through RDD schemes.
