Leh, Jan 18: The Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh, Dr Pawan Kotwal chairs a meeting to meticulously assess the status of expenditure under the Annual Action Plan for the year 2023-24 and the proposals for the next financial year 2024-25, at UT Secretariat, Leh.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of the expenditure status for the ongoing financial year 2023-24, alongside an examination of the Revised Estimate (RE) proposal for the same period. Particular attention was dedicated to the ongoing Plan submissions for the Financial Year 2024-25 under the Special Development Package (SDP) and State Sectoral Projects (SSP) with a specific emphasis on Capital Expenditure (Capex).

Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal emphasised on collective efforts of the officers for transparency, accountability, and efficiency in resource utilization, ensuring that every rupee spent contributes significantly to the holistic development of Ladakh.

Dr Pawan Kotwal expressed satisfaction with the progress made and urged all stakeholders to continue their dedicated efforts for the successful implementation of the proposed plans. He emphasized the importance of fiscal responsibility, timely execution, and the need for continuous collaboration to overcome any challenges that may arise during the execution phase.

The meticulous review of expenditures and proposals reflects the UT Administration’s dedication to fostering sustainable growth and enhancing the overall quality of life for the residents of UT Ladakh.

The meeting was attended by all the Commissioner/Secretaries; Administrative Secretaries; Deputy Commissioner, Leh; Head of the Departments; Chief Engineers, UT Ladakh; Director of Accounts and Treasury; Deputy Director of Planning; Officers from the Planning Department, UT Ladakh; and officials from the concerned departments, while Commissioner/Secretary of Health; Chief Conservator Forest; officials from Kargil; and concerned departments officers joined the meeting virtually.
