Leh, Jan 14: A first of its kind, Ice-hockey championship for both Boys and Girls was organized in Leh by Royal Enfield in association with Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh (IHAL), and Ladakh Administration.
Final match of men’s category was played Saturday between the teams of Kangsing and Changthang Shans at the Ice Hockey Rink, NDS Sports Stadium Leh.
The occasion was presided by MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, accompanied by Executive Councillor, RDD LAHDC Leh, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Executive Councillor Minority Affairs, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi, Secretary Youth Services and Sports Ladakh, Councillors, Ravinder Kumar, and President IHAL.
Various esteemed guests and officials from IHAL and Royal Enfield, and Ladakh Winter Sports Club were among present during the final match.
MP Ladakh congratulated the participants for showing true sportsmanship spirit throughout the game and also extended his congratulations to the teams for their magnificent performance.
He also extended his gratitude to the Royal Enfield and Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh for conducting such event.
Later, atheletes and supporters were felicitated and prizes were distributed by the dignitaries during the ceremony.
