Jammu, Jan 14: With an aim to make working more transparent and vibrant, the Jammu and Kashmir government will monitor the working of the employees four times a year on the official portal.
“To initiate action towards making governance transparent in Jammu and Kashmir, the government employees will now have to fill their performance reports four times a year on the official portal,” official sources said.
They revealed that the government in the year 2022, had made this arrangement wherein employees of various government departments and public undertakings will have to submit their performance report on the portal by 7th of every month
“On a quarterly basis, employees will have to report their work performance,” official sources said.
They revealed that now, by simplifying the system, the government has asked the employees to submit a report on the portal after every three months by submitting the details and the works undertaken by them in the said period,” they said.
Sources added that employees of six pay levels and above will have to fill their performance report from January to March by April 7, 2024.
“Following that they will have to submit their performance report by 7th of July, October and January next year by uploading their report card on quarterly basis,” sources said.
They said that the work of employees will be assessed in the months of April, July, October and January, adding, “Meanwhile, employees in five pay levels or below are exempted from filling up the performance report on the portal.”
Official sources said that information will have to be given on the employee performance portal.
“Jammu and Kashmir Government has created an Employee Performance Portal to assess their performance,” they said, adding that one time password has been issued to the employees to fill the performance report for submission of their report.
“Employees have to submit details of work done, disposal of files, redressal of people’s grievances along with field visits every three months,” they added.
Along with the details, they said that evidence will also have to be submitted, adding, “with these details, along with monitoring the employees, the departmental head will prepare the annual report of the employees.”
Like employees, senior officers will also have to submit their reports while the performance of the reviewing officers will be assessed by the administrative secretaries of the departments, sources added.
