Kargil, Jan 08: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), aimed to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the government, was organized today at Thilla Brok, Panchayat Taiket in Barsoo Block despite the severe cold.
Despite being one of the remote hamlets in the Kargil district, Thilla Brok is situated in Barsoo Block, Panchayat Taiket. The hamlet, comprising 32 households and around 220 residents, was the venue for hosting the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Despite the challenging weather and difficulties, employees from various departments made their way to Thilla Brok. The road to Thilla Brok was slippery and blocked due to ice. The event aimed to raise awareness about government-sponsored public-centric schemes, extending outreach to remote areas for community engagement.
BDO Barsoo/Day Nodal Officer, Asgar Ali, Sarpanch Taiket, PRI members, officials from different departments, including Heath, Fisheries, Handloom, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, ICDS, Aadhaar Operators, RD&PRD and villagers were present.
During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
Officials from different departments and institutions including Heath, Fisheries, Handloom, Animal Husbandry, ICDS, Aadhaar Operators, RD&PRD etc. held interactive sessions with the locals wherein they were informed about the procedures to avail these welfare schemes.
At the health camp, 3 Ayushman Cards were issued, 19 Aadhaar Cards were updated, and 1 new Aadhaar was generated. Additionally, 13 individuals underwent screening for NCD, and 10 patients underwent sugar tests.
During the program, officials of the Health Department briefed the general public about the goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and underlined its mission. They were also briefed about healthcare schemes. The camp witnessed huge participation of the people.
After completing all the Panchayats in Kargil district, the VBSY programs are being held to cover inaccessible areas for the saturation of government schemes in the district.
