Kargil, Jan 07: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon on Saturday evening visited Government Higher Secondary School, Lankerchey to inspect the Winter Residential Hostel.
He reviewed the facilities provided in the hostel and academic activities performed with the intent to orient student regarding the examination pattern under CBSE and to mentor students with regard to clear their doubts.
Councillor Lankerchey Ghulam Hyder accompanied the CEC during the visit.
Principal GHSS Lankerchey, Sadiq Ali appraised the CEC about the facilities put in place in hostel such as library, classrooms, heating arrangements, availability of facilities and engagement of subject specific teachers.
CEC Dr Jaffer inquired from the students regarding the status of syllabus and facilities being provided at the hostel.
The CEC asked the students to take advantage of the facilities provided by the government.
Interacting with the teaching staff, he expressed his satisfaction over the functioning of the hostel and advised them to provide quality guidance to the students.
CEC Dr Jaffer assured to extend all possible help to improve the educational scenario of the district and to bring the educational standard at par with the rest of the country.
While encouraging the students, he emphasized the significance of hard work and dedication in studies and urged them to strive for 100 percent results in the upcoming examinations.
