Leh, Jan 03: In a significant operation, Leh Police Station successfully recovered 384 cans of beer and six bottles of whiskey from a rented room from the possession of a lady.
According to Police, the accused has been identified as Nepali national namely Kalpana Tamang resident of Village Shree Cham District Okhaldhunga Tim Molung, Nepal, presently residing at Shakspo House Sankar, Leh.
This effort was carried out under the provisions of the Excise Act, with Case FIR No. 01/2024 U/S 48(a) Excise Act registered in connection with the seizure. District Police Leh is vigilant in our pursuit of maintaining law and order and urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities that may compromise public safety.
