Leh, Jan 03: A delegation of recently selected dental surgeons under NHM led by Dr Mohd Sajjad called on the HLG at LG Secretariat. Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Director, Health Services/ MD NHM Ladakh, Dr Motup Dorjey were present in the meeting.
Dr Mohd Sajjad apprised the HLG of his selection as a Dental Surgeon under NHM Ladakh and raised their concerns about their postings. He informed that NHM Ladakh had asked them to provide three preferences for posting, but they were not posted according to their preferences.
The HLG directed Director Health Services/ MD NHM Ladakh, Dr Motup Dorjey to follow equal dispensation in matters of posting of all doctors from whom posting is issued by his office.
Smt Nisa Khatoon, Lecturer in School Education Department called on the HLG at LG Secretariat. Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Deputy Secretary, School Education Department, Smt Sumaira Shafi, JKAS were present in the meeting.
Smt Nissa Khatoon apprised the HLG of her appointment as a Lecturer in Education Department 2012 and her name is excluded from the seniority list of Senior Lecture. She requested the HLG to include her name in the seniority list.
The HLG directed the Deputy Secretary, School Education Department, Ladakh Smt Sumaira Shafi to study the matter.
A delegation of daily wager workers at the University of Ladakh led by Smt Kulsum Khatoon called on the HLG at LG Secretariat. Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof SK Mehta; Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Incharge Registrar, University of Ladakh, Shri Nawang Tundup were also present in the meeting.
Smt Kulsum Khatoon apprised the HLG that about 30 daily wagers were engaged by the University of Kashmir in 2016 and have been working on both campuses of the University of Ladakh for the last seven years. She informed that the University of Ladakh has advertised various non-teaching posts and requested the HLG to allocate reservations of permanent posts for the daily wagers to regularise their services.
The HLG directed Vice Chancellor, the University of Ladakh, Prof SK Mehta to look into the matter.
Former President, Zanskar Buddhist Association, Shri Tsewang Chotar called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS was present in the meeting.
Shri Chotar discussed various issues with the HLG. He highlighted the need for the renovation of Karsha Monastery, which was affected by a recent earthquake. He requested the HLG to start helicopter services from Leh to Padum and vice versa. Shri Chotar also requested the HLG to provide financial support for a patient from Zanskar.
The HLG assured Shri Chotar to look into the matter.
