Kargil, Jan 02: A Team of State external Assessment Team on Tuesday visited at Community Health Centre Sankoo, Kargil for the implementation of the KAYAKALP Award Scheme for Promoting Cleanliness Hygiene and infection Control Practice in Public Health Care Facilities in state UT of Ladakh.
The scheme aims to improve the quality and hygiene of public Health facilities with the highest standard of sanitation in state Union Territory of Ladakh.
During the visits of the team they visited at every section of Hospital including Emergency at Casualty
General ward Laboratory, CBNNAT, Minor OT,X-ray Dental, Labour room, NBSU, ICU, Operation Theatre main, Immunization Cold Chain, MCH ,Blood Bank, RBSK, Section, Reception, Dispensary, Indoor and outdoor drugs Store, Kitchen, Laundary, OPD Section and hospital surrounding.
They had interacted with the staffs of Community Health Centre Sankoo, and asked Questions with regarding, Spill management, Hand washing, biomedical waste management and others related questions.
The state team which comprised by Dr Mohammad Abass District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) Kargil, Dr Rinchen Angmo, State Consultant MCH, Dr Tsetan Dolker District Hospital (DH) Leh Pathologist Dr Mustansir, State Nodal Officer (NQAS), Stanzin Gyalaks, Programme Officer, NHM UT Ladakh.
The team will submit its report and recommendations to the Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), UT of Ladakh. The best performing facilities will be recognized and rewarded by the NHM under the KAYAKALP Award Scheme.
The team hailed the efforts and initiatives taken by the Community Health Centre Sankoo to maintain the quality and hygiene of public Health facilities with the highest standard of sanitation.
The KAYAKALP Award Scheme is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the NHM to incentivize and support the public health facilities to achieve excellence in quality and hygiene.
Similarly, a team of state external assessment visited the Sub-District Hospital Drass for the implementation of KAYAKALP Award Scheme for public health facilities.
The scheme aims to improve the quality and hygiene of health facilities in the union territory of Ladakh.
