Kargil, Dec 28: The residents of Bemathang have raised significant concerns about the escalating presence of stray dogs in their locality, causing distress and posing a threat to their safety.

Locals, while expressing the severity of the situation, highlighted the challenges they face in venturing out of their homes, particularly during morning and evening hours. Mohammad Hussain, a resident, emphasized the ordeal of attending Namaz, necessitating the carrying of sticks for self-protection against these dogs.

Furthermore, worries about the safety of their children were voiced by concerned women and other locals. Their plea is a call for urgent intervention and action from the authorities to address this pressing issue.

The community earnestly urged immediate attention and swift measures from the concerned authorities to mitigate the increasing presence of stray dogs, ensuring the safety and security of the residents. They expressed that cooperation of the authorities was crucial in resolving the matter promptly and restoring peace within the locality.
