Leh, Dec 28: The Royal Enfield in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports UT Ladakh and Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh organised a road show from NDS Sports complex, Leh to the main market, Leh in connection with the organization of first ever Royal Enfield Ice Hockey Super League at Leh from January 3 to 13.
The roadshow commenced at the NDS Sports Complex, Leh, and culminated in the main market, Leh, covering key locations to build anticipation for the upcoming extravaganza.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Leh, Sonam Chosjor flagged off the procession, emphasizing the significance of hosting the first-ever Royal Enfield Ice Hockey Super League in Ladakh.
During the event, the jerseys for the 15 participating teams from Ladakh’s seven zones were officially handed over to their respective captains. Representatives from the Royal Enfield Social Mission, executives of the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, and distinguished sports personalities from the region were present to grace the occasion.
It was informed that the primary objective of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey Super League is to discover and promote budding talent in ice hockey from Ladakh’s diverse zones.
District Youth Services Officer, Leh, Tsering Tashi; Country Head of Royal Enfield Social Mission, Vigyat Singh; Royal Enfield Social Ladakh Lead, Tsewang Dolma; President of the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, Namgyal Angchuk Gyapo; General Secretary of the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, Noney Wangchuk,;, Captain of the Indian Ice Hockey Team (Men), Tsewang Gyaltsan; and other prominent personalities from various sports disciplines such as archery, mountaineering, polo, cricket, and marathon were present at the event.
