Jammu, Dec 26: The Jammu based journalists have framed 18-member Crime Journalists Association (CJA), Jammu.
The association is to be headed by senior journalist Govind Chouhan, who was unanimously announced as president by the members.
The newly floated CJA (Jammu) is comprised of Surinder Raina as Senior Vice President, Deepak Singh Jamwal as Vice President, K Koushal as General Secretary and Nischay Sharma as Treasurer.
The Executive Committee members included Kamal Kundal, Sumit Sharma Deepak Khajuria, Avinash Azad, Rahul Khatri, Varun, Puneet Khajuria, Mohit Jamwal, Harpreet Singh, Vishal Bharti and Hiya Aneja.
Vishal Bharti has also been named as Media and Liaison Secretary of the associations while senior journalists Vivek Sharma and Vinod Kumar were announced advisors to the newly constituted association.
Speaking on the occasion CJA president, Govind Chouhan said, “the association is purely a non-political body and constituted with a motive to work in the interest and welfare of the journalists.”
“The CJA has also drafted a future roadmap related to activities besides augmenting bond with police, administration and other organisations for free, fair and transparent working.”
