Leh, Dec 26: Police Chief of UT Ladakh, ADGP Dr. SDS Jamwal has appreciated and admired DySP Hqrs Kargil, Manzoor Ahmad for his exceptional initiative and concept in spearheading the plan to lift water from the Suru River bed to a height of approximately 500 meters at DPL Kargil plateau, employing a solar power plant.
In his appreciation letter to DySP Hqrs Kargil, Dr. Jamwal said, “Your efforts in collaborating with the PHE staff and consulting the local community of Kargil showcase a commendable dedication to innovative and sustainable solutions to resolve the water scarcity at District Police Lines Kargil for both drinking and growing of plants/ vegetables at DPL Kargil. Due to your efforts the long pending problem of drinking water at DPL Kargil has been resolved. I feel proud to have an officer like you within our force and file.”
