Kargil, Dec 24: In response to the prevailing drought-like conditions in Hunderman Brok village, the Deputy Commissioner (DC)/CEO of LAHDC Kargil, during a recent tour to the area, had announced crucial relief measures for the residents.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kargil Dr Gulzar Hussain distributed cattle feed among the villagers of Hunderman Brok. He said that they distributed 50 kg of feed per household in the presence of PRI members.
He said that acknowledging the challenges posed by the arid conditions, DC Kargil had pledged support and relief for the affected populace during his tour. The relief efforts aim to alleviate the difficulties faced by the villagers amidst the harsh climatic situation.
The Chief Animal Husbandry Officer emphasized the primary goal of enhancing milk production and enhancing the health conditions of the villagers’ dairy cattle.
The villagers expressed their gratitude to DC Kargil and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Gulzar Hussain, for their support and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of their community’s livestock, which was affected by the continuous drought in the village from the last many years.
